First Aid Update and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training was provided to MAKÜ staff by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Canan Demir Barutçu, a faculty member of the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences, under the leadership of the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Occupational Health and Safety Coordination.
Certified trainings conducted in accordance with the Regulation on Emergency Situations in Workplaces were held between December 15-24, 2021. The training covered how to perform first aid, what interventions to make in which situations, the use of the AED, a device developed for critical intervention in sudden cardiac arrests, and the use of defibrillators designed for certified first aiders to perform the first intervention until professional teams arrive in case someone has a heart attack.
